Things My Daughter Says

My mom won’t swim because of her wig. I told her that swimming could be good therapy for her and that people wear bathing suit caps all the time. Then Sophie says, “Grandma, I’ll wear a bathing suit cap too, so you won’t feel so uncomfortable.” Bless her heart.

Sophie: Well it’s science, so YEAH.

Me: You can be anything you want to be.

Sophie:  A Canadian.

Me: A Canadian??

Sophie:  Yeah, you know one of those people who make folks laugh?

Me: Oh! A comedian?
